I discovered recently that there is a flock of parrots that live in our new neighborhood. Yes! Real parrots! Bunches of them! And man, are they LOUD! The stick together in their flock and chatter like old ladies at a church picnic all day long! Take a look!
I did a little studying, and they seem to be red headed Mexican parrots. There are a few misplaced flocks of them in Southern California, and one lives on our street! They have been spending the last few days in the trees in my front yard. Watch out if you pester them, though. They like to dive-bomb people.

Since they are all in twos, they must be love birds.
Hi Karen,

Where do you live that you have parrots???

Have fun with you boys!!
We live in San Diego. They apparently come up from Mexico, although they are not supposed to be the travelling type, and then they never go home!
My son and I love your parrots! We popped over here from your comment on my OWOH post, and later I showed him your fantastic post about the 'evil chicken' drawing and the story behind it. I can tell he idenified with your Noah! My son is 13 now, with a 12-year-old little brother...
Wow, parrots! We have ravens...not quite as exotic, and all they do is try to get at the garbage...
Thank-you for visiting my blog during OWOH event. Stop by again anytime!
Hi! Thanks for coming by my blog and entering my OWOH give away. Good luck!
I blogged last night about Telegraph Hill in San Francisco, and they also have flocks of wild parrots that live there.
Hey Karen, thanks for coming by my blog and leaving me your very nice comment. I love the parrots. We get some that are migrating also up here in West TX, but I hope many of them left El Paso before the great arctic storm hit Tues.
Again, thank you for stopping by and your name will be included into my giveaway. Also, if you have the time, go through some of my older posts...have lots of art listed there too...I love Dia de Los Muertos art and make lots of it. Have a great week.
